Gautier Mississippi
Gautier MS is located in Jackson County, and is one of the fastest growing Mississippi towns along the Gulf Coast. The community was originally established in 1867 by Fernando Gautier as a homestead, and that homestead still stands at the mouth of the Pascagoula River Basin. The many stately live oaks and scenic waterfront contribute to the charm of this unique city. The natural beauty and quality of life still entice “settlers” to come and enjoy the Gulf of Mexico breezes, and the serenity that Gautier offers to its residents.
Gautier is centrally located between Pascagoula and the Biloxi-Gulfport area, just one hour west of Mobile, AL, and less than two hours east of New Orleans, LA. Pascagoula is the largest industrial area in Mississippi with thousands of high-paying jobs, while the Biloxi-Gulfport area, with its high volume of tourism traffic offers many jobs in the tourism and gaming industries. 
One of the highlights unique to Gautier includes the Mullet Festival. The festival offers plenty of live entertainment with visiting and local musicians on two stages. The Heritage & Educational area features exhibits native to the area as well as showcasing local crafts. There are many other exhibits and activities especially designed for kids.
The Singing River Mall in Gautier recently underwent a $4 million expansion and design update. It now offers more than 80 shops, a 9-movie theater, and lots of options for grabbing a bite to eat.
Gautier is a great place to call home and offers a superb quality of life for your family. Students attend school at four elementary schools (grades K-5), at one middle school (grades 6-8) and one high school (grades 9-12) which are part of the Pascagoula School District. Higher education offered in the Gautier area includes a four-year university program at the University of Southern Mississippi and a community college, the MS Gulf Coast Community College.
